Late to the party but i use two programs and 1 nfc card. Tagmo to write the amiibo using their database. And then an app called "Tag Writer" from NXP to erase the data on the card to reuse it. Ive had no issues doing this and most nfc cards on amazon come with multiple so even if the card corrupts i have backups. Highly recommend

Overwriting breaks recognition. Cards, coins, or stickers cannot be used as rewriteable emulator devices. Only NTAG215 is recognized as an amiibo. No other NFC specifications work. Only Android devices with 4.1+ and NFC / Bluetooth hardware are supported. Sadly it doesn't work. Have the same writer (ACR122U). Written tags aren't recognized by the switch at all and other software (GoToTags at least) is not able to read or erase NFC tags after i have written on them with your software. They are broken. GoToTags is for some reason not able to write .bin files.It doesn't let you emulate amiibos, it let's the system use them. The o3ds doesn't have a NFC reader built in. If you want a cheap device that let's you emulate amiibos look up the amiibo power saves at GameStop. They are $15 and come with a puck you can flash to be any amiibo, There is a tut on a certain site.The reason it is rarely discussed in detail is that a lot of people confuse the "create drivers" part for being as simple as writing an Android app. It also depends on whether the NFC hardware on the phone was capable of the right output, which hasn't been tested because such drivers don't exist.
