Subaru outback driver window reset.
Window switch update. I brought the car to the dealer this morning and apparently this window switch issue is a very common problem! Apparently it just needs to be reset and the way you solve the problem is to run the window all the way up so it's closed, then you pull on the up switch again and hold it for 3 seconds. Done, solved!

Re initialize the Windows. From each window - use its door control to run the window down, then all the way up and hold the switch for an extra second or two. Then the drivers door controls will work for those windows. Anytime I disconnect the battery I just reset each window. badlydrawnboy.

Here are the relevant pages from the factory service manual. There is a fuse box under the hood on the driver's side (with spare fuses in the lid) and another in the driver's side under dash. The passenger side window and now the driver side window are being difficult on the 2015 3.6r. When I press the auto-up button they go up and then about 1 cm from the top they both come back to about half open. The auto-up button is pretty much worthless on the passenger side. I have to move the window up inch by inch for it to close.

The local Subaru dealership took a look at it and indicated that the issue was due to the window tinting, recommended lubrication.
