I recommend roughly: 30% Shieldwall / 40% if no linebreakers: 50/50 both types of Sturgian shielded infantry. 30% forest bandits / 40% if no linebreakers. 20% linebreakers but only if you want to command them separately. Unshielded infantry in the front line just dies too ... I had the best results with Imperial Legionaries. Their armor is superb, they have a large shield, they have javelins and they are easy to recruit. EDIT: I forgot to mention that they are similarly armed and decently armored at almost every level of their troop tree so they form consistent infantry even if many are underleveled. 15.Essentially I have a deathstack of 120 mostly tier 4+ horse archers, many of which are Khan’s Guards or the lower ones on the same tree.
