Dodge avenger no crank no start.
Today i went to hop in my car and go to class and it started up and quickly died,and would not start back up. It would try but the engine would just not turn over, i was parked on a hill and my gas light was on so i had thought my car had just ran out of gas (I still had about an 8th of a tank left in it) so a buddy of mine took me to get gas, fueled it up, tried to start it and same problem.
I have a 2013 2.4L avenger. 67,000 miles and up to this point no problems what so ever. Recently I replaced the gas cap because it needed it. Since then, my car is going nuts! Turn your Avenger's engine on. Then, rock the car with your foot off the brake. Press the brake down when you have rocked uphill. You want to "catch" it with the brake at the right time. This will take pressure off of the parking lock. Apply light pressure to the shifter when doing this.
