Jul 8, 2019 · The pumper on the 4S Lectron (and the FCR) has nothing to do with the needle jet emulsion tube or needle. The Lectron carb (and SmartCarb) use a single needle that covers the standard pilot, needle and main jet circuits. The slight advantage of a single circuit carb like the Lectron is the tendency to transition smoother off of the pilot circuit. The Lectron has been around a long time but until recently the owner was into drag racing and so the carb performed very well in that venue. The carbs have been used by a few very high level off road guys in events such as the ISDE as far back as 20 years ago. FCR. If the Lectron was good you'd see reviews of them all over. You aren't going to make any more power with either over a properly jetted stock carb. The FCR will give you that extra snap vs stock due to it's pumper circuit which the Lectron does not have. 3.
