The Ruger's loading gate felt much more solid, and stayed open better for takedown, than the Heritage's did. The Wrangler takes this one too - wider, more comfortable and taller in the grip frame. I had to shift the gun in my hand less when cocking the hammer between shots.

Seems like Mrs Tinyman's Barkeep has the light strike syndrome. 1 or 2 out of the 6 loaded get the 'dimple' and if she takes 'those' out and when she gets 6 of them, loads a full chamber. Rough Rider is a true 4-click action, and for about the same price you get the magnum cylinder. So both have their pro's. The Heritage broke a spring once, but they sent it N/C & was easy to replace. I took both to an outdoor range for a true side-by-side comparison test. 25-yd accuracy about equal (Heritage has 6-1/2" bbl, Ruger 4-5/8" bbl).

In the picture it looks like the crown was made by grinding because it is so smooth. The most important part of the crown is the tiny areas where the rifling meets the crown. Burrs there or any non-concentricity of the crown to the bore will impact accuracy.
