ADMIN MOD. PSA AAC 300bo jacket separation. Read somewhere recently that the AAC PSA 556 was having jacket separation issues. I have a bunch of their 300BO 220 subsonic rounds I decided to test out today. I ran them on two different guns using sandman S, sandman L, and nomad L. Looks like their 300Bo subs are separating as well.

77gr AAC 26” Bolt gun, 5 shot and 10 shot group. There was a bit of mirage after the first 5 shots when shooting the 10 shot group, and shot 8 is the one to the left that opened things up a bit. Overall, not bad for as quick as I was shooting (<4 minutes for all 15shots). I fired the 10x group first, then the second 5x group.

PSA seems to be changing the game now with the AAC ammunition that uses the correct 9377G bullet, at 2700 fps, at a tremendous bargain price. IMO the most important question that needs to be answered is whether the box spec of 2700 fps is referenced to an 18", 20" or 24" barrel.For sure. I got 1.5 out of my 18” white oak but the criterion was 2+ consistently. For reference, that white oak barrel shoots 55g lake city just as well as the AAC 77g OTM. For 77s, IMO, the OTM was underperforming.
