Is staccato worth it.

Different answer. No. The compensator doesn’t change your first shot at all. It’s simply flattens the gun so you can more easily return for the second shot. And then, and then the EDC if you have to shoot from retention, you are blowing gas up in your face. If you are thinking about a C2 then to me, the answer is clear.

Changing the recoil spring makes a huge difference. Because the compensator deflects some of the force, you can go a lot lighter and still be quite reliable. I tried a 7 pound spring but it felt sluggish in the return. 8 or 9 pounds is the sweet spot. No reliability issues with any ammo. The P is a four pound trigger.Formidilosus said: For serious use stick with the 17 round mags. Also, Atlas Gun Werks +18% mag springs help tremendously. Staccato CS. Staccato says the aluminum is just as strong. Obviously Steal will be much stronger surviving a nuclear blast. I went aluminum with a c2 for the weight savings (5oz). Go feel 5oz and decide if it's worth it to you. A pool ball, iPhone both around 5-7 ounces it'll get you an idea. 2.I don't see why staccato can't just expand their custom pistol builder. Example, you'd build your pistol from the ground up. 1. Start with grip. P grip, C2 grip, or "X" grip etc. 2. Chose if you want a magwell. 3.Then go to frame. Aluminum, Steel, and have lengths for dust covers. Obviously only certain lengths will work with certain slides etc. 4.

I don't think the XC is worth the price tag. You're getting tighter finish and a integrated comp for 2k more than a P or C2. I personally sold my XC and got a P instead and carry a C2 daily. But considering you can get it for 3600 makes it a bit more reasonable. I'd still stick with a C2 just because it's more versatile.Atlas Global Brands Inc. Although I haven't had a single malfunction with it, I did notice the slide hesitating when feeding flat-nosed and HP ammo. The 9lb spring took care of that, but I may film the XC again using the stock spring to see how it affects muzzle dip.If you just don't like the C2, replace it. For a carry piece, I think first and foremost, it needs to be reliable and accurate. After that, you need to like it and shoot it well. If you don't like it or shoot it well, it's worth considering a change. If you're not shooting it fast it's quite possible that you're missing the point of a comp. I own a number of double stack 1911's including a nighthawk TRS, staccato p and C2, Wilson combat EDCX9L. Also own a few shadow 2's and a cz custom a01-LD. None of them can keep up with an XC. BUT you have to shoot it fast.
