Front turn signals not blinking. 96 Vulcan 800 classic, front turn signals light up, but dont blink. The rears work fine. I have checked the relay (which tested good) but I replaced it anyway. The only maintenance required on the shaft is the rear spline lubrication with moly60 lube, easy to do and not often. It's one fast bike.

New to the forum and needing some advice. I recently purchased a 99 Vulcan 800 Classic for the wife. The problem I am having is that on cold start it stalls as soon as soon as you put it in 1st gear and the bike starts moving. It usually takes several attempts at revving really high on the throttle to finally get it going so that it doesn't stall.The bike is a 2001 VN800 Classic and the previous owner said the bike was idling and then while he was strapping his helmet on the bike died. He took it to the place where he bought it and they pulled the plugs, said they put a camera inside and they claim the motor sucked a valve. Normally, you can start in gear if the clutch is pulled in. There is a switch on the clutch handle that looks after this. Could be out of adjustment, dirty, no good, etc. Give it a looksee.
