The model 67 was introduced in 1972 at around serial number 2K55997. The full serial number is found on the butt of the grip frame. You will have to remove the grips to see it.It has the large cylinder release screw on the top strap. The Third Model Russian was made from 1874-1878. S&W produced 13,500 units.
