You can load a 3-3/4dram 1-1/4oz load with the wads you list and Herco is good for that application. In the 20ga for AACF cases I like to use Herco with the Rem SP wad for a 2-1/2dram 1oz load for 1155fps. Lymans is telling you that there might be a particular powder and hull combo where some of those other wads MIGHT work for 1 ounce. Those are loads that are supposedly safe with any hull/wad combination so long as you use the called for charge of powder with a non-magnum primer for the given shot weight. No guarantees crimps are going to be pretty.I would like to reload some 1 1/8 loads for the 20 ga. I load the 20GA AA-hs with windjammer wads and Alliant 20/28 powder. I was using long shot and the claybuster wads and then switched powder, which caused stack height problems with the CB wads. I switched to the Windjammers and haven't looked back.

It was my favorite 1-1/4oz powder for my duck and goose loads when you could use lead shot. In the 20ga I use it for both 7/8oz and 1oz loads. In the AACF I use 16.5gr for both the 7/8 and 1oz loads and in the Rem STS hulls I use 17.5gr for both loads. In the 7/8oz loads I use the Rem RXP 20 wad and in the 1oz loads I use the Rem SP20 wad.

Its main purpose is to ease feeding of the wad on some reloading machines.
