Re: Another armed robbery. Oct 24, 2023, 12:53 PM. Save. We just arrived home from on island and learned this was one a few armed robberies last week. There was one at Wharfside villa ge, a tourist walking up Jacobs ladder (beaten so badly they thought he was run over by a car) and at Rhumb Lines in Coral Bay.We just spent a week there with North Swells and south/se winds. Most places were fairly churned up so viz was bad all week. The most favorable conditions were Francis to Maho, and Leinster to Anaberg. Pelican rock was also pretty calm, but winds much more southerly next few days, with some good gusts today.

Rents on places at the moment are about $1,200-$1,800 for a one bedroom. Electric is about $100 if you don't have A/C and are very frugal about it. If you have A/C, and run it at night, you can expect to pay closer to $200. In general, the long term rentals are no where as nice as the short term rentals. Is St John ( USVI ) safe ?? 22 replies; STT Carnival Dates for 2012 12 replies; life jacket vs snorkel vest 22 replies; Westin St. John and Virgin Grand Villas 3 replies; Which area should we stay? 21 replies; Car rental in St. John, USVI 154 replies; St John (USVI) Restaurants 23 replies; Kenny Chesney's Favorite Bar? 35 replies; St Thomas vs ...Save. We will be visiting for 4 days in early April and the goal is to relax, see the sun, hit some of the local establishments for many cocktails, and likely a sail/boat excursion.
