I'm trying to find a quality new replacement for my front windshield in my 67 beetle. Searching the forums, many people used to get glass from West Coast Metric, but I can't find any glass on their site.

Then you never tried 700 15 Yokos front and 31 x10.50 rear tires they roll over terrain that 27" tires fall in. It is like adding 2 more inches of soft travel. Dec 16, 2009 · Disconnect the black/green and black/white wires that go to the lights on the front fenders from the switch. Touching the black/green/white wire from the fuse box to the wires going to the lights should cause that side to light, front only. The lack of safety bead humps has nothing to do with tube type or tubeless tires. VW went to tubeless tires in 1957, but didn't incorporate safety bead humps until 10 years later. Your wheels are meant to be tubeless, your tires are meant to be tubeless. on a lowered 66 bug I found the 175/65-15 just a bit too big both wide and tall. On stock wheels (4 inch wide). I also felt like the steering wasn't as good. On my type 34 I used the 165/65-15 and it was perfect on a stock wheel to match the 165/80-15's on the rear. great set up.

On a standard or "A" sedan or a Cal. look beetle the pop outs make themselves look out of place. I suppose if you painted the frames black it would match the non deluxe windshield and backlight rubber only standard / or cal. bug style rubber. A gallon of base will cover the inside and outside of a bug just fine. I would recomend using the correct color or shade of grey the paint mfg. suggests under the base for better coverage. You dont need 3 coats of clear on the inside and bottom sides of your panels if your using a high solid clear. 3 on the outside is great.
