I9 9900k bottleneck.
The 9900k will absolutely bottleneck the 4080. Literally taking away half the fps performance of the gpu at 1440p in my case. I would have to basically build a brand new rig to fully utilize the 4080. So I’ve decided to return it. My 2070 super can’t run newer titles at max settings but it can run most at high.

Oct 3, 2020 · I got 117fps on the tomb raider benchmark immediately after doing that (vs 101 originally). Then I overclocked the i9 9900k to 5.1ghz (all cores). Reran the tomb raider benchmark. Got 147fps. Definitely a big bump over before. I have not overclocked the ram. Does this sound like reasonable fps for a 3090 and i9 9900k?
