From the 392/AT545 combos I've seen, you won't need any adapter involving the IH SV pattern. The 392 has an adapter on it to adapt to the SAE pattern the Allison uses. This adapter would go with the 392, not stay with the trans. If I am correct, any engine you can get the same SAE pattern flywheel housing on will bolt up to the Allison.The 6.9 IDI is a four-stroke, naturally-aspirated V8 diesel engine.
