The Staccato is the better shooting gun and its not close (As far as grip, trigger, recoil impulse, etc). Update to my response above. The Tac grip is worth it to me. I had a chance the stand at a premier staccato dealer and work with both grips back to back. The original is good until you try the Tac grip. Soon as I picked it up, wow this feels right. The original just felt a little slicker compared to the Tac and my hands were dry at the time.

Staccato XC really worth it? The Staccato XC is a great firearm obviously but the price tag is steep and the competition has caught up. Staccato has made the 2011 space what it is today. If you got one and love it that’s awesome.

Changing the recoil spring makes a huge difference. Because the compensator deflects some of the force, you can go a lot lighter and still be quite reliable. I tried a 7 pound spring but it felt sluggish in the return. 8 or 9 pounds is the sweet spot. No reliability issues with any ammo. The P is a four pound trigger.
