As for how many new cards you should do daily, this is going to have to match your study schedule and how much time you have. Start small, 15-20 new cards a day. Change the limit to 9999999999 or whatever you can fit and should be able to see the whole deck. This doc has a lot of free stuff. What I am doing right now is fantastic for content review. I am doing the Kaplan Books and pairing it with the Kaplan Organized Milesdown Anki deck (except for Psych/Soc (using 300 page document) and Cars (doing daily JackWestin passage)).. Doing Anki cards without fully understanding them serves little value, so make sure you fully understand the concepts, and then retain them with Anki.

In terms of incorporating it into my readings, I would usually do the specific anki deck for a chapter after I've read and take notes on that chapter.
