Bg3 bard crossbow build.
With the Swashbuckler subclass not being in BG3, I don't think there's much potential for this subclass. The Swashbucker uses charisma just like the Bard, so it would be perfect for multiclassing. Arcane Tricksters use intelligence, so it's a poor combo (you'd need good charisma, good dext and good intelligence for that build).
That's an option, though all that taking Paladin at level 2 gives you that you really need is Shield Proficiency (and Martial Weapons, which I guess might be useful for Heavy Crossbow / Longbow proficiency, but all the other weapons I think are not finesse-based, except for getting proficiency in Scimitars one level earlier), and compared to taking it a level one, you lose out on the Wis save ...Sharing my dual-wielding bard build from my latest tactician run.
