I've been trying to figure out which is the mightiest of the ultra greatswords . I came up with this list. Give me your opinions. 2.Drakewing. 3.Zweihander. 4. Black Knight ultra greggreatgrea swordsssw. Seems like everybodies afraid to talk about the crypt blacksword. Girth counts for something too ya know ;) It even outscales the smelter greathammer and only come second to the hammer in AR if you scale into both dex and strength to 40. Focusing hardcore on strength makes the sword a great weapon, it also does 3 durability damage to enemy armor and rings which is nice. IMO the moveset makes it somewhat undesirable.Literally the best option of you want hexes and some big chunky weapon. First, the Bluemoon Greatsword is pretty good. You infuse it with Raw and you get a really hard hitting greatsword for minimal stat investment. You simply get the minimums for the weapon and invest your levels elsewhere. Very handy.Also its pretty sensitive so make small movements. It's imprecise so it can feel like you're going to be moving only a few degrees and suddenly you're swinging 90 degrees away. Ds2 isn't as fluid as 3. It's much slower and deliberate. Every single button press means the difference between success and failure.Oh and even more controversial take. Mastodon Greatsword will do more damage, but is much heavier. There really aren't a lot of weapons that are straight upgrades on others. There's advantages and disadvantages to using pretty much all of them. The Claymore will do a whopping 10 more damage. Prior to my current build while I was around sl 140 I was using an ultra greatsword build. I would recommend a metal fiery boss's ultra greatsword or the zweihander. You can still use a couple other weapon types effectively. Incorporating a smaller, faster weapon into the build would be recommended. (I'd recommend: Claymore, or the red rust sword)
