The boot that goes on the prop end of the driveshaft it fits right into the SS hat. It would have to be cut down and split in half to go between the bell shape on the drive shaft and the SS hat, much like the C clip is supposed to work. The split boot might need to be glued or Oetker clamp to keep a watertight seal.

I feel no difference between the two in regards to top end or hole-shot performance. the only difference I do notice is the 3-up takes a little more effort to stand it up vertical. the 3-up seat is definitely more comfortable- and for some reason the 3-up seems quieter to me but wife says they sound the same.Found a wrecked spark.
