I've researched the 9mm HST line and have seen the reports, evaluations etc and know it is 1 of the premier SD rounds (in either weight). It's hard to find 147 gr range ammo. Practice with any standard pressure ammo will do. So practice with .115 gr, because thats the most common range ammo, & carry 147 is fine. The only problem is practice with standard pressure & carry plus P. Because of the velocity difference.

Jul 25, 2022 · My experience with 124gr HST, in either standard pressure or +p, is that they are exceptionally accurate in Gen 5 Glocks. Like I was able to shoot a 3x5 card at 50 yards 3 out of 5 times freestyle with my Glock 19. Stupid levels of accuracy. In my Glock 45 I shot a 6" group at 100 yards. This is best for guns with shorter barrels (ie conceal carry) vs the 147 grain standard pressure load. Either brand. I think Gold Dot tends to penetrate further and HSTs tend to get slightly larger expansion. I carry 124 grain HST, but honestly gold dots will work just as well.
