The problem with a VRSCF engine being used in another model is the front exhaust port studs that are positioned for the left side exit. It also has the oil dip stick positioned in the right side clutch ...One other thing you should do to help with the life of the bigger engine is to install a larger oil cooler. With the added size of the engine and the weight of your trike kit and passenger the bigger engine will run hotter. I use Amsoil 60wt synthetic in my engine to help keep the temps lower. Evo FXR drivelines have a lot of weak links in them. They were great for 35-hp Shovels in 1982 when they came into production, but when you’re making more than 100 ponies, the motor doesn’t want to stay attached to anything. I figured a Twin Cam swap would take care of most of those weak links in the driveline.

You used to be able to get rebuilt Evo's from HD for around $2500 exchange w/warranty, don't know if you still can.
