Hi, and yes its very very common for this to happen, When you reseal the spool valve make sure they replace the valve cover gasket too, What happens is the hot engine oil leak out and drips onto the electric windings of the alternator and destroys it internally, ALso make sure they clean all the oil residue off of that front head
