My takeaway was I didn't like the way the matthews fit my hand. It felt a little top heavy, not crazy but kind of noticeable and could've used a back bar. The vtm 34 was awesome at anchor bc it felt less scrunched up but I could literally feel my pinky shake with the shot like vibrating.I’d go with the Hoyt, from my testing, the Hoyt VTM 31 was faster and quieter than all of the bows I tested. Those bows were the VTM 31, Execute 30, Ominia, Era, Carbon One, and SS 34. It was faster by 5-6 fps, and quieter by 4-5 decibels.

If your draw length is spot on this will be less noticeable. I switched from 85% to 80 because the western state I hunt each year is 80% max lefoff. I did have an acclimation period with the lower letoff but the change only affected how the bow felt to me.

However if you bought a Ventum Pro used I don’t think you’d miss a ton if you wanted to save a little.
