There are excellent mods in the workshop that turn other attributes of Stellaris into origins (e.g. civics, ethics points, etc.). However, I've found two main issues with this approach: 1. This burns the attribute, and will cause issues with the AI (e.g. AI having more civics than warranted). 2.20k Corvettes (torpedo) and 10k destroyers (neutron launcher)did it for me last time I killed him. Nearly all the destroyers died. I did this on purpose, using the dreg fleets of the 3 empires I'd vassalized and integrated. The destroyers took the brunt of the dragons fury.
