Another thing to note is if the valve timing is that far off or the chain has skipped teeth, you could possibly have a bent valve that is hanging up. The 2024 ATVs are out and I was just looking at the websites for Yamaha and Suzuki. The Grizzly and King Quad have come a long way, probably two of my favorite quads over the years. Both of these come with power steering but I almost like the King Quad styling a little more.If it’s a older 250 Quadrunner or 300 King Quad, there is no fuel filter unless somebody added a inline filter. Aug 27, 2023 · Welcome to the forum. A few things come to mind that could be issues. The issue with possibly contaminated fuel is a concern. Obviously, your King Quad doesn’t have a carb like your generator, instead has an injector . There is a crude “filter” (sock) that will restrict larger debris, but fine contaminants can pass through. The Suzuki machines were flawless maintenance wise. Never a mechanical issue. Easier to clean. Fit and finish better. Considerably lighter weight than the 850. Plenty of power but more vibration with the big single versus the Polaris twin. Ride is harsher due to the springs and lighter weight. Stock tires were trash.Welcome to the forum. EFI engines are quite particular about the plug condition and gap. Smoking at start up is often the valve guides leaking oil down into the cylinder when it's sitting.
