Yes, I agree it is confusing, but on Travel Talk on Line, St Martin, the residents state that it is for all of North America, and there will be no quarantine, they are not happy as they do not have the facilities to accomodate sick people.

After reading these and other reviews have become a little nervous about the readiness of the property. Yesterday I called the hotel and was able to reach the reservation manager. In all my years renting cars in SXM have nevr had to make a deposit or provide a CC to secure a reservartion. That is why you should look at Hertz SXM or others mentioned. 10. Sint Maarten Thrifty Car Rental. My husband and I just returned from an 8-day trip to Sint Maarten/St. Martin. We also traveled there last year about the same time. On both trips, we rented cars from Thrifty. Last year, no problems. This year everything was great until we returned the car.

We reserved online in advance and they met us at the airport with our name on a board and with the car, ready to go. For aprox $450 we rented a medium size car with full insurance and $0 deductible for the entire week in St. Maarten!
