The former uses a square design, with an 86 mm bore and an 86 mm stroke. To give the K24 an extra 400 cc of displacement, Honda increased bore to 87 mm and stroke to 99 mm. The block is a K24z3 and I was planning on swapping the head for either a K24a2 or K20a2 head. Any advice on which would be better for a track build where high revving is preferred over power gain? Oil cooler: The K24 does not come with an oil cooler. You can skip this step and not run with an oil cooler but I highly suggest swapping it over or running an external one. Oil pans are interchangeable between the two engine blocks, as are engine mounts. However, engine mount placement is different for the K24Z3 mounts due to the stock subframe, and K24Z3 mounts are incompatible with our 4-2-1 race header.
