Sig has stated they intend to release an adapter to allow MCX uppers to work on standard AR lowers, I'm not sure if they are available yet though. nutnfancy on youtube has a video showing a 16" MCX upper working reliably on a standard AR lower, but it slams into and mars the buffer weight. if you have a cheap buffer weight you don't care about ...

The bolt for the Spear in 7.62x39 is completely different. I suspect that the Virtus bolt and the Spear 5.56 bolt are the same, but I don't know for certain.

The Rattler, [legacy] MCX, and Virtus chassis ("uppers") have different formats and their respective handguards are not interchangeable across platforms.
