Mining dimension at deepslate layer. You can use a chunk destroyer or any other quarry to expose them since they cant be mined by the quarry/chunk destroyer, then just fly around and grab the allthemodium. Much higher generation than a deep dark biome and you dont have to deal with mobs.

I mined ~y level 20 in the mining dimension. Took about 30 minutes to find a couple of blocks. If you can find a peaks biome using the nature compass, do it. Go at night and hopefully the biome has peaks above y160. All the blocks will be exposed and glowing. Then set up an ore laser drill (Industrial Foregoing) in that biome with a yellow lens.
