47 posts · Joined 2012. #1 · Sep 21, 2014 (Edited) It's been a couple of years since I used 4-low in my 2007 Tundra. I've used 4-high a few times. Today, I needed 4-low. I was in 4-high. It was working fine. When I turned the switch to 4 low while in neutral, the light on the dash just blinked rapidly. Occasionally when I start the vehicle, the 4lo light is flashing accompanied by a beeping alert, the transmission releases into a neutral position and the shift selector becomes essentially useless (you can toggle from Park through each setting including drive and the transmission will not engage). But, the truck still does the same thing. About half the time, the 4WD light blinks when I engage it. It does work, though. About half the time, the 4WD light doesn't blink, but if I turn off the truck and start it again, it does blink. Then you can stop put the truck in neutral and then puch the 4LO button.
