You don't have to, but playing Titanfall 1 just gives a good sense of the drawbacks and improvements of both games. As a Legion main it's a toss up between enhanced ammo and hidden compartment. You want hidden compartment for when you can get flanks easily but for medium range fights against good Tone players enhanced ammo is for sure the way to go.
