The holes are located on either side of the front of the channel the moon roof sits in (near the corners).I have an update to my post on the engine oil check procedure in the XC40. I spoke with a Volvo Service Associate (second time) at my local dealer. He advised me to let the car's oil level sensors do the work of alerting me when the engine oil level is low. I don't have any experience with the Drive-E engine.
